How you can make your website load faster

The speed at which your blog loads is critical to attracting more readers to your blog. If your blog takes a long time to load, many readers may leave your blog before they have the chance to read it. Here are a few tips and tricks that will help your blog load faster and attract more users.

Your site may be loading slowly for you due to many factors, including but not limited to:
- The speed of your own connection or an overload at your ISP during peak hours;
- Amount of
content hosting on your site or home page;
- Images not optimized properly for your site;
- Very large MP3 files that need to load;
- A slower computer (i.e. with a slow processor or low RAM) may load the site slowly, since it cannot process the information quickly enough;
- If you have a lot of third party code that you embedded using the HTML app.
- Amount of different fonts on your site;

Please make sure to optimize the images on your site and try not to overload your home page with several fonts and font colors. Too many fonts/font colors will simply cause your user's processor to work harder- and although the user would have already downloaded the information to his/her computer, it may still take a little bit longer to display.

If you still experience an unacceptable speed issue and have done everything you can to optimize your site, we would like to request that  you please load the site using 3 test runs from this website (an independent 3rd party site that will test the speed). If you are not satisfied with the results that you see from the site and it is indeed loading slowly, then please send us the link to the results and the link to your site.

The Top 5 Steps to Increase the Performance of Your Website

 When it comes to website optimization most people just concentrate on SEO. Making sure as many people can find their website as possible. Yet one aspect of website optimization that almost always gets overlooked is website performance optimization. It should be considered that not all countries have fast internet service providers nor do all devices have strong wireless connections. This is why people need to make their websites run faster to help reach a much wider community.

Here are some Steps to Increase the Performance of Your Website.

Step 1 - Trimming the Fat:
One of the simplest and easiest ways to improve loading speeds of a website is to make sure anything that is no longer necessary on the webpage is removed. Any pictures, flash banners and aspects of a website which are not important to the functionality of the webpage can simply be removed. Another point to make is that if you make each individual webpage smaller, this will increase load times and help to well organize your website, rather than just have a few pages that are extremely lengthy and just tend to be cluttered.

In many respects an over cluttered website is distracting and tends to be very off putting to a website’s viewer base, so removing clutter can help improve your website in many aspects other than just making your website run faster.

Step 2 - Don’t use HTML to Resize Images:
When you have an image at a certain size/resolution (1080x960) but you only need a certain size image for example a 640x480 image. Never resize the image using html, because this just slows down a websites load speed. When images need resizing, make sure you edit the image in a photo editing software like Photoshop or MS Paint before using them in your website, this will just help make the website that much more efficient.

All in all if optimizing your website is something that is a huge priority for you I would go forward and advise this one extra step, to go view this  video . The video itself covers a lot of information on website performance optimization and can really help make your website load times faster. The presenter of the video is a Google expert in the field of website optimization and truly understands how to make your website reach its full potential.

How to Make Your Website Faster and More Efficient?

No matter how well designed, written, or marketed your website is, if visitors are presented with slow loading times then this will have a serious impact on how successful your site is.so here is some thing to Make Your Website Faster.

This can hinder your website or online business in the following ways:

1)      The faster a website loads, the higher up it will appear in search engine rankings. If your site suffers from slow load times then the visibility of your site will be effected, substantially lowering the number of visitors. Your site needs to be seen to be successful!

2)      The longer a site takes to load, the more people will lose patience and go somewhere else. It is estimated that up to 40% of internet users will leave a website if the load times are longer than three seconds. People are now used to the internet being a fast, efficient experience. If your website is slow, they will simply move on to a competitor.

3)      Conversion rates are essential for you to grow your website. A 'conversion' means that a visitor has engaged with your site in more than a casual way (bought a product, subscribed to a service etc.). The number of visitors who do this declines by as much as 7% if your website has slow load times.

First Steps to Faster Loading Times

 The most important action you can take to make your website faster is to limit the number of HTTP requests made every time someone visits your site. Up to 80% of load times are directly effected by this number. In order to make your website load faster, we then simply have to reduce the amount of communication between the internet browser a visitor is using and your website.

Unfortunately there is no 'quick fix' to make your website faster, however, the methods mentioned above will decrease load times with a little trial and error. For more information on Pagespeed which can help speed up your website,  watch the relevant video to know more in details.

How to get your website to load faster ?

Your website is like a race car. If it’s not properly tuned, you’ll have a slow loading website.As you might expect, a slow loading website is not good. There are several important reasons to have fast website loading speeds.

Simplify Website Design – According to Yahoo, a big chunk of loading time is spent downloading, images, style sheets, Flash videos and scripts. Simplify your website. Remove the deadweight that is slowing your website down.

Reduce Image Size – Make unnecessarily large website image files smaller in size. The more data the image file contains, the longer it will take to load.

Consider using an online image optimizer tool to make large image files smaller. Keep file types to JPEG, GIF and BMP.

Split Up Unnecessarily Long Pages – Break up very long web pages into several pages. As a rule of thumb, if a page is longer than two printed pages, you may want to shorten it.

Keep CSS Files small – recommends keeping your CSS files under 75KB in size. This will help your website to load faster. Work with your web programmer to ensure your CSS is optimized.

Use PHP Caching – This allows visitors to store portions of your website on their computer to help improve load speeds when they visit your site in the future. Talk with your programmer to see if your website uses PHP caching.

Avoid Video and Audio – Flash video and audio welcoming users to your website is unnecessary. It just slows down your website and annoys many users. If you really feel the need for video, make playing it optional.

Find a Good, Reliable Website Host – Do your research on finding a good website hosting service. Be sure to get the right amount of storage and bandwidth. This is a very important issue to discuss with your web programmer.Check out this video for more derails.
